Beaded Calabashes
Gourds have been beaded for centuries and used for a variety of purposes - depending on shape. The beadwork typical of the Zulu women adds character to these emptied and dried-out pumpkin shells. After the contents are used, cleaning and drying take place. The dried calabashes are beautiful to display or to serve nuts or sweets in.
